  1. Wow! So my education all means nothing? Lol! Well, sort of. No longer is a BA a guarantee of a job, nor is a Masters gaurantee of better wages – not anymore – in fact, I saw a Yahoo article the other day that suggested higher ed is starting to hurt people not help them. It’s all about skills and rlationships now, pedigree no longer matters. All that to say I can see what he is saying and have been seeing it coming (now that he mentions it). Education in America is in big trouble.

    I hope our education means something! If you can find that yahoo article shoot me the link. Really, education in America isn’t in trouble as much as it has rewarded a particular type of learning – one that has been left behind in other Western nations. We are behind the curve attempting to protect the cultural icon of “education” rather than educating with more expedient forms of knowledge acquisition. I have a feeling our intellectual hubris will make a point to catch us up in the next fifty years.
